"Fatal Error"
Every time I try to play it doesn't open and says, "Failed to create d3d device. Application will now exit. Error = 0x8876086c"
What is going on? It won't open, I just bought it and now there seems like no hope in me playing it. Nice job steam.

Same here. I've tried altering the compatibility mode multiple times to see if it would work. Nothing is working :(

dunno type that error in google?
10s later you would see it's an issue with direct X, 2 big culprit a faulty file, so you reinstall direct X from the microsoft website
second possibility, a compatibility issue, with some hardware, so unplug every non essential stuff, no mic, headset, etc etc, then try to boot the game

Yes, thank but I have already exhausted google. I have changed compatibility in the properties to what has been posted online. Furthermore, I tried direct X. That didn't work either. Nothing is working, so do you have another solution that google doesn't list?

I have Windows 10, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. In file folder, LEGOStarWarsSaga.exe, I have tried altering the properties like online forums have said. This includes changing it to compatibility mode for Windows Vista SP2 as well as run the program as an administrator. I also downloaded directX, just to try to see if that worked as well. Nothing has changed, and the same error message occurs.

I have. I believe I have to change my GPU to 60Hz, but my graphics card will not allow that. I think I am going to have to get a refund. The game just will not start at all, but it does show me the error message. Shame :(
