Power ups?

What the hell are these purple power up things? Why are they in the game? Was it too difficult without them?? It's breaking my nostalgia lol. I literally just started up the game (after owning it for some time) and I'm on the first level. I was feeling a star wars game and had this in my playlist, I might as well just play the original first Lego Star Wars game I have (which in fact works perfectly on my fat PS2 :P

The powerups temporarily give you increased attack power, invulnerability, stud magnet, and a x2 treasure multiplier. Maybe they're in because people can find it fun to get short boosts to their abilities? You can ignore them if you want.

honestly the collection is terrible if you grew up with the original ps2 games better to pick up the originals
