canyon

I am flying the plane through the canyon and i cannot get through shields, there is something to pick up that says I can use it to target enemies, but no idea how this is supposed to work. please can anyone help me with this? I am stuck with the right now.

The troop ship has the ability to tow bombs. There are bomb dispensers along the canyon (square buildings with a conveyor belt at the front which dispenses the bombs)which if you fly or hover near will highlight for you to press K (for keyboard) which will attach a cable to the bomb allowing you to tow and release the bomb next to the shield generators on either side. Beware though, the lasers will set the bomb off, and if you let go of the bomb along the way the detonation sequence will start.
