Bought this on the weekend. Constant stuttering and lag.

Any way to fix it?

Lower graphics?
Disable/Exit programs running in the background to maximise computer resource usage?

Tried lowering the graphics, but still stuttering. According Can I Run it Im well over the min and recommended level needed.

What are your specs? Does it happen in other games? Try enabling vsync.

I can run SW Battlefront 2016 no problem.

However here my specs

Processor
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4980HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz

Video Card
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980

Video Card #2
Intel(R) Iris(TM) Pro Graphics 5200

RAM
16 GB

Operating System
Microsoft Windows 10 (build 14393), 64-bit

I think have a solution, the compatibility troubleshooter in windows.

It has been set
-to run for WinXP Serv Pack 3
-disable scaling on high DPI settings
-run as admin

So far it appears to be working.

I have the same problem on my semi good laptop (2012), my other laptop however from 2008, running W8.1 works fine with it; if you find anything let me know, im still trying to figure it out as well

OK so heres where im at:

When I got the game first it frooze reguarly and badly.

Using the compatibility troubleshooter in windows i set it to

-run for WinXP Serv Pack 3
-disable scaling on high DPI settings
-run as admin

It still stuttered but the severe freezing had stopped.

Under the same compatibility settings I set to

-run in 640x480 screen resolution (whille still maintaining the previous three changes)

Interestingly within the game the screen res is still 1920x1080 widescreen.

It still stutters but I best less.

Still trying to figure out how to get it to run smothly and properly,

I disabled enhanced graphics and my game worked just fine, I as well have a laptop. I guess our graphic cards can't handle such a great game?

I've been having stability issues. Crashing randomly. Compatability settings as above, and I run the game with all network adaptors disabled. I updated my display adapter driver to one made for Win7/8/10, rather than just Win10, and I think that improved things.

It could be a crappy PC also lmao but you can try to find lower graphics BUT idk how to do that :steamhappy: :steamsalty:

It's an issue with Nvidia cards, all the LEGO games suffer from it now i think. Guessing it's a driver issue, no one has found a solution yet.

Thats interesting to know thanks.

I think there's an issue with Lego games and HID devices. I was getting freezes every few seconds but removed most of the HID devices and the game then ran perfectly.
