Stuck on first level

That silver friendly droid i can take control of does not want to build. I know the B button for my xbox controller works because i can use the force with my jedi units. Stuck like 1 min into game because droid will not pick up the lego pieces on the floor to build the control panel to open the door.

Droids cannot build, pull levers, or do other such actions.

Have Qui-Gon or Obi-Wan do it instead.

It makes sense, since the 3PO model can't bend over to grab pieces.

It's weird though, because the 4LOM bounty hunter droid is very agile, being able to jump, use a grapple hook, operate a blaster rifle and throw thermal detonators.
But still can't pull a lever...
