2) I didn't recognise your name when I saw the friend request, and clicked ignore. I've sent one back your way.
I do believe, however, that if someone who knows the language the game is written in were to try, a mod could be made to fix it. Unfortunately I don't have the know-how, and I also have a feeling it's against the EULA (though I can't be bothered to actually check.)
In lego batman 1, the AUDIO.CFG file (inside the DAT) includes this as the first Sample
Apparantly the default sound is Slot 0 (AKA the first Sample which in TCS is the MenuSelect sound) and so if you just add a dummy to Slot0 it just skips it (so in this case the Jawa plays slot0 for whatever reason)
I haven't tested it but this seems to be the issue and possibly the solution. Hope this reaches you after all these years
