That is a cheat you got to enable, then you can use them, just try out some buttons on your keyboard. I remember exactly anymore which button it was.

After you find and purchase the red brick and activate the extra, you can launch a rocket by using whatever key you have mapped to 'Switch Character' (for me it's K).
