LEGO® Star Wars™: The Complete Saga

Any way to raise FPS cap to 144hz/fps?
I cannot seem to change the refresh rate setting from anything other than 60hz. I have a 144hz monitor so I would like to be able to play at a higher framerate like I did with Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I also looked in the game folder for a settings file or something of the sort and did not find one. I also searched the internet and found almost nobody talking about this. Is it possible to raise the cap?

The config file is in your appdata folder like this: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\LucasArts\LEGO Star Wars - The Complete Saga

Here is a file called pcconfig.txt, there is a settings called ScreenRefreshRate which is set to 60 by default, you can change it to 144 for 144hz. But for some reason after doing I still don't get over 86 fps.

I'll try that, better than nothing.

I did this and it was still capped at 60FPS.

Strange, for me it did to up but like I said it locked at 86fps. You could maybe look again in the file and if the refresh rate is at 60 again put it to 144hz, save the file and put it to read only mode. This way the game can't change it back to 60hz.

I have a 144hz monitor, as I explained, and I would like to take advantage of it to make it look way smoother.

you're um pretty smart there I really love the research behind it yep very scientific in fact if you search studies proving the human eye can't see past 60fps like literally the entire page is stuff like "MYTH BUSTED" but no 144hz makes a huge difference and makes games look insanely better i honestly really hate playing on 60fps it looks terrible and for fps games i can't aim at all compared to 144hz and if you've got an eye for it you can tell the difference between 120 and 144

people only trick themselves into thinking they see a difference so they can feel special

According to PCGamingWiki, the game engine is locked to 85 FPS. You can't bypass that.

The config might re-write itself back to the original cap. If you make it read only then it can't do that.
