Once the game was done, I was planning to work on my other game, Mechana.
However, after it was released, it got a lot bigger than I had anticipated.
I decided to run a public poll, asking my fans if they would want me to move onto something else next, like I had initially planned, move onto working on Psychopomp 2, or to make an extended paid version of Psychopomp.
The extended paid version won out by a long shot, with about 100 votes to 30.
I also received a large outpouring of requests and desires for an extended edition.
Psychopomp was never intended to be a demo, and it is still available because I do not consider it to be a demo. It wasn't made for testing sake, it is a full game.
No, the developer didn't trick anybody, Standard Psychopomp was already a full, finished game. Gold is just a paid deluxe version with extra content. It was not a free beta.
this is just a spooky's mansion HD renovation type expansion
even IF this was the case like you said, how is having a free demo/prototype that is STILL available after the expanded product a bad practice? if you dont think the expanded products features warrant a purchase, you can still play the "prototype"
immensely dumb post
you are really the only person thinking the devs scammed people, i do not get this thought process
If you want to insult ppl , argue & troll , then do it somewhere else , you can do it with your schoolmates for example
you are, funnily enough, being more scummy than what your delusional take of the dev is. trying to drag the devs name through the mud for legitimately no reason
