I want Linux version of the game. Will the developers port it for Linux?

The game will be released for Windows and Mac OS on March 02, 2016. If there will be other platforms or systems too in the future hasn't been decided yet.

With Linux support I would be interested into this game too.

I'd like to see a Linux port coming out, I've already written to their publisher astragon last year and
I still do not have any reply. And I've also seen that StillAlive is using Unity and has gained
experience with programming games for Linux (please refer to their web site), so why not?

I've already bought it via amazon :steamhappy: but I'll like it much more, if I could play that on my
Linux partition and I do not have to create a new VM (virtual machine)!
---

I believe they will eventualy realse a Linux version.
For the moment, you can install WINE or PlayOnLinux and install Steam there and you will be able to run the game under Linux.

Using Wine rewards developers for not supporting Linux. Playing games under Wine often sucks enough that you won't play them in practise, if the game runs at all. The developer will laugh you in your face if you experience problems running the game. So just don't.

Yes exactly. I use Wine only for games from 2006, because a 10 years old game don't get a Linux Port.

I too hopefully look forward to a native Linux version.

I have decided not to buy Windows 10, allowing me to put more money in a new computer rebuild. I am instead using Linux Mint and really enjoying the extra preformance I am gettting from my old hardware.

That has allowed me to already buy American Truck Simulator (Linux version) that my old OS could not run since it was 32 bit.

I will be buying Cities Skyline as soon as I can get the upgrade to my hardware, and would love to buy this game as well.

Wine isn't the time worth you have to spend to get it running. The performance is horrible.
