Force Feedback and DirectInput and XInput interface
Bus Simulator 16 has been optimized for steering wheels which support the DirectInput interface. If your steering wheel supports DirectInput, you can enjoy all force feedback functions of your steering wheel. XInput devices will offer rumble functions only. If your device doesn't support DirectInput, you can of course still play the Bus Simulator 16 without any problems.
In case that you do not know if your steering wheel supports DirectInput or XInput and you are unable to find any information about this in this thread, we recommend to get in touch with the maker of your steering wheel for further information.

Force Feedback und die DirectInput bzw. XInput-Schnittstelle

Ingame force feedback settings for my Logitech G27 wheel doesn't seem to have any effect.

It feels like force feedback strength is at 100 all the time no matter what settings i change from inside the game.

No support for the G25.
Yes, support for Driving Force GT very logical.
The two wheel, was sold the same year.

There is no excuse or reason not to support the G25.
For me, I do not buy the game.
I am sorry.

Fanatec CSR works, looks like it is supported, but there is a big problem with the steering death zone. It just stays there, always, no matter what you do, no matter what you configure, there is always a very big death zone, it's impossible to play like this, i've been forced to use my XBOX 360 pad.

My G27's pedals won't respond at all, even when I try to calibrate them in. Any ideas?
Eamons85 Mar 2, 2016 @ 6:04am
Hi all, i have set my pedels to be back and forward when driving, but when i get out and walk, my guy is always walking backward so its hard to move around with him, any ideas?

x_CrazyDog_x Mar 2, 2016 @ 7:08am
same problem as Eamons85 for me. Logitech gaming software link above doesnt recognize my wheel so i assume its not for my wheel (Logitech Driving Force GT) but i do have logitech profiler and have no issues with as example ATS and ETS2 with how my settings are. So hope for a solution so i can stop walking backwards by itself

Yup, that's the problem i also have. Force feedback seems to be on max setting, and in game FFB settings doesnt change anything.

Same issue the G27 pedals will not respond

Have you tried our workaround for Logitech wheels and did you install both recommended drivers?

Bus Simulator 16 has been optimized for Logitech wheels and supports the Logitech gaming SDK. Should you encounter any problems, please try our recommended fix below:

Please Install the newest version of the Logitech gaming software for windows: http://support.logitech.com/en_us/software/lgs
Only for older steering wheels, which are not recognized by LGS 8.x: Please install Logitech gaming software 5.10.x additionally http://support.logitech.com/en_us/software/lgs#previous-versions

@Heikki360
We are aware of the dead zone problem and try to offer a fix during one of the next updates.

@Tasja
We success fully tested a Logitech GT. Did you recognize the second link?
Only for older steering wheels, which are not recognized by LGS 8.x: Please install Logitech gaming software 5.10.x additionally http://support.logitech.com/en_us/software/lgs#previous-versions
Please give me feedback, if it worked.

@Loko1985
Please check if Force Feedback is controlled by the driver or the game (You can find this in the additional proporties of your diver). If FF is regulated by your driver, you can adjust FF strength in this menu. Please tell me if this works.

You really need BOTH the old AND the new version of the Logitech Gaming Software if you have a steering wheel that is not recognized by the newer LGS, because of a limitation Logitech is currently working on.
So again, make sure to install BOTH mentioned versions of the LGS: 8.81.x as well as 5.10.x

I'll post a workaround of another user that might help! We're investigating on the cause.

Now the in game FFB settings work! SOLVED!

I turned the FFB setting off and on from the game options and then my FFB started working. It's like it resets the FFB settings and then everything works ok.

I have both version of Logitech installed and running still i am walking backwards without touching anything. I hope for a guide that tells how settings must be, i do have combined pedals in logitech profiler 5.10 enabled cause of other games i play. Weither i have that option enabled or disabled doesnt make a difference, backwalks by itself remains no matter how i make the settings in profiler, tried every combination with ingame and logitech profiler setting and it keep walking backwards.

I have a Fanatec Clubsport Wheel Base V2 with Clubsport V3 Pedals (connected directly to the wheel) and also have a huge deadzone like @Heikki360 described. I have to turn the wheel atleast 90° to get the Wheels moving. Also at least 50% gas are required, before i get some RPM. No matter what I set Deadzone or Sensitivity to. Fanatec Wheels (my one for sure) have a Hardware-Deadzone at absolute zero, as soon as you move it a Milimeter, its recognized.
