I think 60 fps makes not a lot of sense in TFU, because the cutscenes are 30fps.
I played this year Castlevania Lords of Shadow and it is a little bit annoying to play the game in 60 fps, but watching the cutscenes in 30 fps.

Wow i thought the days of "the world is flat" were over and done with, lol i wont even begin to debate this
All framerates above 30 does is make the animations more fluid (and I really don't care how fluid it looks since I play on sub-par equipment so I'm just happy to play it). If you watch movies in a movie theatre, that is only 24 fps just fyi.

Nerves can fire between 300 to 1000 times per second in the human body and transmit information at 200 miles per hour. What matters here is how frequently these nerves can fire or "send messages". Your eyes can physiologically transmit data that quickly and your eyes/brain working together can interpret up to 1000 frames per second. However, we know from experimenting (as well as simple anecdotal experience) that there is a diminishing return in what frames per second people are able to identify. Although the human eye and brain can interpret up to 1000 frames per second, someone sitting in a chair and actively guessing at how high a framerate is can, on average, interpet up to about 150 frames per second. The human eye can physiologically detect up to 1000 frames per second. The average human, tasked with detecting what framerate he/she is looking at, can accurately guess up to around 150 fps. That is, they can see the difference in framerates all the way to 150 fps. While this may the minimum threshold for your brain to start piecing together images using a blurring technique, people can most certainly tell the difference in smoothness between 24, 30, 40, 50, 60 fps and higher. Put any person down in a chair who is used to playing games at 60 fps and slowly decrease the FPS by 10s. The player will accurately tell you the FPS every time. It's no placebo effect. the fact is it's a myth that the eye can't see past 24 frames per second. It's actually not that crazy of a comparison because nerves do not continuously send information. They can only fire about once every 15 milliseconds. Because of this, they send pulses, pictures, many times a second, quite like frames per second. However. To say the least I wouldn't say its unrealistic to compare because it was a mere example of what the human brain can do everyone is capable of telling a difference in frame rates up to a certain point the average according to scientific studies out there (Google it thousands of links) shows that the average person can tell up to 150FPS.

I have a pretty powerful gaming rig and the game is definitely lagging on 30FPS, I can't explain it, it's like the game is struggling to render it even though there's plenty of power. I used the 60FPS unlocker mod and the game runs buttery smooth... until I try to go up an elevator in one of the missions and Starkiller falls into a black abyss. This game desperately needs an FPS slider/unlocker that doesn't mess with stability

Did you try the fixed .exe from the pcgamingwiki?

We're not watching a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ movie we are playing a game, big difference. There is also a ♥♥♥♥ ton of motion blur, which looks horrible in games to hide that bad fps. 60 fps is miles better than 30, and 120+ even better than 60.

Here there is a better fix for the FPS issue:

http://escuadronloresdelsith.org/index.php?topic=2246.0

You can choose between 40, 50 and 60 fps for the game by simply overwriting the exe file with the downloaded file. I recomend the 50 FPS version, since you´ll notice a "bullet time" effect when lowering fps from 60 to say 30, in highly demanding areas.

I understand why someone would want to use 60 instead of 30. I personally would prefer 60 but am fine with 30. Why? Because anything above 30 is fluid, 60 is just better. I use a gamepad for games and never have any input lag.

Anything under 60FPS for PC gaming is not fluid motion, Go back to consoles if thats what you're fine with :/

Nice fallacy m8 but you dont control a movies characters and playing at lower frame rates increases input lag which means that you can't control your character as well its not hard to understand.
