30GB Download!!! Holy S**T!
I'v played MMO's smaller than this. Did they not do any form of compression on this game or what!? I'v played it before and it's not exactly huge or anything.

Yea... It's crazy but I would just download it once and save the files to another drive so you don't have to do it again in the future. :csgogun::mortis:

you think that's crazy? Wolfenstein: The New Order is like 45-50 GBs

I had pretty much the same reaction. Don't know why it's so much.

I hope you guys, and future players, realize the only reason the game is this size is due to the fact that all the cutscenes (FMV's) are full 1080p uncompressed... And given the game is 30% cutscenes, it would make complete sense, and trust me does it look beautiful! Maybe not as much on a 4K display, but back when (and if you're rocking 1080p) it still looks amazing.

This game also came out five years ago and is pretty short.

i read somewhere that pc game developers are leaving things like audio uncompressed to bloat the size of the game intentionally. doing so dosent prevent piracy but it does make it a good bit more inconvienent.

I'd like to believe they're future-proofing the FMVs.

The download size is actually 13GB, but you'll need 30GB to install the game.

It's a piece of trash. Worst game ever.

This is what you people should do. Buy a Western digital hard drive My Book 4TB or more if its there. I have 4TB drive. The drive is a green version limited to 5400 RPM but that is enough. Download all games to your steam hard drive and then back up steam exe and steamapps folder. Use a third party back up program because native windows copy system will crash when copying lots of data. Anyway. just back up the games that you want and then copy them back into the steam apps folder. After that, verify game integrity and you are good to go.

Only a 13 gig download for me. However it's still a massive installation on the disc
