STAR WARS™: The Force Unleashed™ Ultimate Sith Edition

STAR WARS™: The Force Unleashed™ Ultimate Sith Edition

problem finding or creating one of the game's standard folders please contact Aspyr customer support
I am not able to find this actual game on their website (The Force Unleased but not the Ultimate Sith Edition). I go to that game and I get no joy when putting all or part of the above error message in the search window. I have installed both this game and The Force Unleashed II and I am getting the same or similar issue.

If anyone can help me I would be very grateful. I am having plenty of issues with Steam purchases on my PC that is running WIndows 10. I have been able to get help to solve most of the problems with other games.

Figured it out. You'll need to find the game's file directory and set the compatibility mode of the exe file to at least Windows 7. Aspyr says the game doesn't support Windows 10. I set mine to to Windows XP SP3 and it's working.

Yeah, same here. I'm going to request a refund if I can't get this figured out. Very disappointed.

Thanks that worked for Force Unleashed-Sith Edition. Now trying it with Force Unleashed II

Thank you very much fatalgenesis.

Not 100% with Force Unleashed II it does not seem to like the crawl at the start and some of the movies. May have to lower some of the resolution settings perhaps.

Thanks! It worked for me with Win7 and admin grants.

Same problem: "There was a problem finding or creating one of the game's folders. Please contact Aspyr customer support."

I already tried the compatibility mode fix (XP, Vista, 7), but none of them worked. I'm running Windows 10 Pro on a Radeon 5000 series.

Update: I fixed this problem by un-installing the game, deleting the game folder inside the Steam folder, and re-installed the game *and* turning *off* the compatibility mode I had previously set to Windows 7. So in the end, the game should run fine after a regular install without any tweaking. If it doesn't try re-installing again.

I found a fix for this error for my system (win 10):

error message
There was a problem finding or creating one of the game's folders. Please contact customer support

At the web I found out that the savegames are placed in
%UserProfile%\documents\Aspyr\Star Wars The Force Unleashed
But after installation the folders are missing.

I created the missing folders and now I'm able to start the game normally!

"controlled folder access" if you type it into the windows search bar then disable it, the game can create a file. Just found that out. But it is a security vulnerability, I suggest turning it back on after you are done playing. Up to you, your choice~ hope this helps 🙂
