Game runs choppy, 30 FPS
I have a gtx 980 ti, i7 4770k and this game runs extremely choppy. Anyone have a clue as to why?

Thank you very much, both of you! <3

Just be warned... physics is tied to fps, so removing the caps may have a detrimental effect on your gameplay.

It's locked at 30 fps but there's a mod you can download from pcgamingwiki that fixes the frame rate altough anything above 40 fps makes the physics weird.

It's locked a 30fps. You can change it, but it's meant you run like that...

It's a PS3 port, not a good one at that, and it's locked to 30. There are some fixes you can use, but they're not perfect.

Thank you, this helped. I was about to give up on getting it to run smoothly. >.<

Yeah, honestly I don't know the issue. Some people have issues with it, some don't. Unfortunately I do.

Do you think you could link your nvidia graphics settings? I have 980 ti as well but the game is still running strange. It runs fine on my laptop.

Try turning off vsync in your graphics driver. This should solve your problem as far as i'm concerned. Additionally you should check if there's an option for vsync ingame. If it is turn it off as well. If this doesn't work try turning off triple buffering in your graphics driver. And if this doesn't still work you can try to improve graphics quality by (for example) turning on DSR@4K in your graphics driver, add graphics mods or - as a last way - clock down your hardware until you get N64 specs :D
