STAR WARS™: The Force Unleashed™ Ultimate Sith Edition

STAR WARS™: The Force Unleashed™ Ultimate Sith Edition

Won't start.
Basically, a friend of mine gifted me the entire Star Wars video game franchise (great guy right?). I installed SWTFU, and when I went to play it said "There was a problem finding or creating one of the game's standard folders. Please contact Aspyr customer support."

Currently, I've tried running the game as admin, run the game in compatibility mode, run the game as admin while it's also running in compatibility mode, and uninstalled and reinstalled the game...twice. I've searched for people who have had a similar issue and I couldn't find anything. Not sure if it helps, but I am running Windows 10. Please help me Steam Community, you're my only hope!

Force Unleashed wont run. It just shows the launcher and when i click play it shows the launcher again. This is very frustrating

All of you people have Windows' pagefile ENABLED? Both The Force Unleashed games won't run without a pagefile.

@Cornugon Don't suppose you know how to have it enabled? From what I've Googled, everything that's come up is for Win7 and Win8

It's exactly the same procedure from within Win 10 as with 7 and 8.1.

Try going to %localappdata%, or whatever the equivalent is on Windows 10, find the Aspyr folder, and inside should be a config.xml file. Change the last line, <s id="ClothLevel">0</s>, to <s id="ClothLevel">1</s>. This fixed my crashing problems, but I'm on Windows 7.

Aspyr folder is empty on my machine - where do I go to repair this?

I know this is probably a bit late however after painstakingly working for hours to find a fix to this game not even starting up I finally found a solution. I don't give up easily and boy, when I say I was done trying to get it to work, I was so done. I had requested a refund and basically given up.

Then when I went to start up SWTFU2, since I just purchased both of these games. Lo and behold, I got an error pop up. I'm thinking GREAT!? Another one I'm going to spend hours getting to work. So I searched the error and came across a known fix that fixes alot of issues with the same error (I also noticed this error was the same as The first Force Unleashed when you click the EXE directly. I think this is the reason why the Launcher pops up, but when you click play nothing else happens).

So, I followed this https://youtu.be/1PbnHBkED4s Youtube video directly, not holding out much hope this time.

BUT to my amazement, after doing this easy, quick step the game actually starts after the Launcher options are chose and it works beautifully!

I hope this helps those who were at breaking point getting this game to work!
Sorry it's late haha!
Enjoy and May the Force Be With You

The community modded FPS .Exe files do launch it for me. I renamed it to the launcher to be able to launch it via Steam.
