Does anyone know how to pull the star destroyer out of the sky?

I mean seriously. I cant do it... Ive had a dozen flights of tie fighters.. I got it mostly down.. Now when I grab it it keeps giving me directions to do on the joystick, I follow them and nothing happens...I tells me to keep the joysticks untoouched, I do so. Then it moves again and I adjust the joysticks according to the directions.. But I never get the instruction again to pull down on the joysticks.. Its just repeat after repeat, more flights of tie fighters and I cant get the down signal... I am following the joystick instructions but the ship keeps drifting, I pull it back to neutral and it drifts again.. This has to be the worst sequence in video games and they thought it would be fun

This is how you should do it:

1.Destroy the tie fighters

2.Hold the force grip and move the nose of Stardestroyer in the correct position.(Both button prompts should get green)

3.Hold both Left analog and right analog downward to pull the stardestroyer down.

4.When tie fighters arrive, let go of the grip button and repeat from 1 until you get the cutscene.

part 3 is pretty annoying on keyboard and mouse and playing this mini boss section on controller makes it better.

Yeah as above said, also it is worth noting that the aim when moving the destroyer is to get it facing you (I have absolutely zero idea WHY you need to do this but there you go) so use the prompts as a guide but actually look at the model and move it until it is pointing at you. Sadly it's just a case of drag it down a bit, kill the ties quickly and then get some more progress. Just a tip, you can kill the ties very quickly with taping lightning when they fly close. The sooner you kill them the sooner you can get back to the destroyer so you don't have to mess around with its facing so much.

It was a cool thing in the past but like a fair amount in the game it has aged horrifically.

Ive played this game multiple times in the past.. But for some reason the joystick icons were not going green or yellow.. They were staying red no matter that I had the destroyer pointing right at me.. I was following the joystick prompts perfectly, they go neutral when its facing me but I am not getting the pull both joysticks DOWN.. I am not sure why Im not getting the down indication when its pointing right at me and Im following the joystick prompts
