Starkiller is not OP.
Don't know why this meme is even a thing.

1.Darth Nihilus and Darth Sion were much more powerful.
Nihilus could kill an entire planet with force drain.
Sion would never die due to his hatred.

2.Luke made wormholes in Legends stories.

3.Kyle Katarn was so OP that he became a jedi in few days without anyone teaching him anything.(And he did that twice in noth JK 1 and 2.)
He managed to defeat Jerec a dark jedi that was as powerful as darth Vader.(According to strategy guides which were written with the help of developers)
He also killed Desann, the dark jedi that managed to beat Luke in a cutscene.(And after Desann becoming even more powerful in Yavin 4 temple Kyle still managed to beat him)

4.Starkiller didn't in any way managed to beat Palpatine.(In both endings, palpatine easily beats him unlike Yoda and Mace Windu that gave Palpatine far more challenge in episode 3.)

5.Him defeating Vader isn't out of ordinary.
Originally developers weren't sure that Starkiller should be able to beat Vader but George Lucas told them that he should be able to do it because Vader is a "broken man".
Vader lost 60 percent of his force potential after getting burned in Mustafar and losing his limbs. Before that he was twice as powerful as Palpatine but after that he was 80 percent as powerful as Palpatine.(Which explains why he wasn't strong enough to kill Palpatine)
Starkiller had the same amount of force potential as Palpatine and he had lightning which gave him a huge advantage over Vader. So he beat Vader fair and square. And despite having that much potential he didn't have enough experience to beat Palpatine hence why He got killed by him very easily.

6.His Stardestroyer feat isn't that special. The Stardestroyer was coming toward him he just changed it's direction to make it hit the ground.(And even after that he wasn't able to stop it with the force and had to run away)

TL;dr Starkiller isn't OP. George Lucas himself had much more involvement with this game compared to other SW games and he approved Starkiller being able to defeat Vader.

As a kid I thought he was OP and cringe but star wars needs OP characters. I like to think of him as equal to the Emperor or Vader in the force. There will always be extremely powerful force sensitives in the galaxy.

"op" is a weird term. He is just very powerful, but I like that

Good points you make, at some point I had resolved to view Starkiller as having no place in Star Wars due to being op but you made me reconsider. I'm glad because I quite like him and his journey.
