Controls are strange. It feels awkward to use motion controls in a Hack n' Slash game, but this game 'kind of' made it work. With this version, there is no attack button, but the motion of the Wiimote. Swing it in any direction, and Starkiller will attack with the motion made. It's a little awkward in tense situations, however. I start [s]jacken' off the wiimote[/s] and I DIE... not really the game's fault, but my own. Motion controls are little alien to me, now. Other than, I think it's better than the other 2 "Version 2s".
1.Dying at least has a penalty unlike version 2 where when you die the game just revives you without reviving enemies.
2.Cutscenes are far better and have a better voice acting compared to version 2.(Characters also have far better face expressions)
3.Bossfights are more tactical and have less button mashing and QTEs.
4.It looks far more beautiful than version 2.(Felucia in version 2 is a foggy mess)
5.You have level select which version 2 doesn't..
6.It has euphoria,Havok and DMM which version 2 doesn't have.
7.Force grip is far superior than version 2 since you can also move the enemies vertically.(Version 2 just allows you to move them horizontally)
also each time you throw the enemies in the version 1 the game plays a different animation than reusing the same one.
8.Level Design is better in version 1 and it has some platforming sections unlike version 2 where it has invisible walls.
9.version 1 also has a better combat vs stormtroopers. You also have more creative ways to kill them.(Like making them grab a Dark Trooper and then throw them and the Dark Trooper into a cliff)
10.Version 2 has a very annoying Jump Troopers which version 1 doesn't have.
11.Version 1 has a far better upgrade system.
12.Finally, story is far better in version 1 since version 2 removed some important stuff from it.(Proxy sub plot,The first boss making the command center fall into the atmosphere etc)
The only things that are better in version 2:
1.Some few additional dalogues that version 1 don't have.
2.Being less buggy.(Which is because it was far less ambitious tech wise and gameplay wise)
