Game will not launch

I cannot get the game to launch....like others on the forums. Just hoping steam reads these.

I pay money I want the game to work (even thought it was only six bucks) The game should be taken down if it doesn't work and we should get a refund

I press play and the steam friends window says I'm in game but after a few seconds im back to normal "online" and no game

Same here too. Can't connect to the key server apperently. On a side note, my virus protecter flagged the exe file as a trojan, wtf.

+1 just says failed to contact key server.... -.- they take our money but gives us broken games isnt this just awesome YAY let's all have happy faces YAY...

I've just had the same issue. Its all good now. Here's steps to see if its the same issue as what I was having.
Right click on game title and select properties
Disable steam in-game, apply
Try to relaunch game
If you have an error box come up about ordinal 42 missing in xlive.dll blablaba then continue to this link: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=128962 -it downloads 'games for windows marketplace'. Make sure you do a run as administrator to install it.
Close steam, re-launch game

This solved my issue, might do the same for you. Worth noting that the game requires a windows marketplace/live login, likely these components were normally installed by the game but failed.

I'm running W8 x64 for anyone interested in spotting a pattern.
