Technically even when there are no items you still can get items from killing the monsters. Maybe that's why the only way is to go back to main menu if you have no items for the quota.
Asakura Shinichi 7 de mar. às 13:40
Oh right i forgot to mention there are methods to kill the monsters with no weapons. The blind hunter can be killed if he falls from stairs, the reaper can be used to lure it to kill other monsters same with the mouth monster that makes you vommit but it takes some time, since the damage from that is low. You can also use traps and pitfalls that for your advantage. You can also use the rabbit to kill other monsters, but while you can control better when he starts attacking, his movement speed during attacking is higher then the reaper meaning its a little more tricky.

I listed this as one of two heavily related design decisions that make me give the game a thumbs down. An unwinnable game is very very rarely a fun thing. And the way loot is collected being this giant STAMP mechanic that destroys your loot that is on the borders? The game doesn't even solidly indicate the exact shape of the border, how thick the stamp ridges are.

Me and my friends were dragging a giant golden bull through the level, and when we got it just over the border, the countdown auto-triggered, so we had to step aside, and the stamp completely destroyed it. Sorry, but that mechanic is both not fun, nor is it predictably safe for the player. I am baffled by this design decision. All three of us playing were baffled, and stopped playing shortly after. Risk/reward is a part of gameplay, but what is the reward to this? If your item, which at starting levels with no strength upgrades can be very slow/difficult to control, isn't perfectly within an ill-defined border, it is completely destroyed. I doubt I'll ever recommend this game if that is the mechanic.
this has to be bait lol

99% sure its either bait, jester farming or just a huge skill issue. He played this game a total of 74 minutes. If he did not like it he was in the refund window, and since he did not touch it anymore he still is, cause the game is not even out 14 days, and thats the other criteria for refund. He clearly states "Me and my friends" meaning at least 3 people, there is no way that 3 people had trouble to carry the golden bull on to the extractor fully as 2 people are enough to do so, with 3 you can even lift it up.

Im quite sure crying after spending 1.2 hour in a game that you lost cause you made mistakes, and claiming game is unwinable is lamer.
It most assuredly is not, kid. Going into a thread where people are providing feedback on an early access game to claim you're the best and everyone else's feedback is wrong is the absolute height of sadboi BS. Go watch more Tate videos. :Finger2:

Dude just queue back up you "lost" a few mins of your time. Who cares, you should have had fun with your pals on the journey to that point of failure regardless. The unwinnable game is annoying as hell I agree, but it happens, oh well, run it back. Maybe try looking for a mod or something to problem solve it

My problem is that I don’t know when it’s unwinnable after breaking stuff, which leads to us searching an empty place for 30 mins

There should be a scan feature present in the truck like in Lethal Company.

*EDIT*
To answer original question. You can self destruct from the menu if you feel you are in unwinnable situation. This resets you back to level 1 after the loser brawl.

Giving the game a thumbs down because you are bad at it is crazyyy.
Anyway, ive only found myself in this situation once, trying to kill monsters is the only solution either by drawing the frog into a pit or throwing a rugrat in there, or using the spewer to kill other monsters or perhaps even using other interactible items to kill them, if u dont want to cus its boring than just restart, one thing u cant complain about with this game is its amazing gameplay loop.

You saying its bait makes me feel like you haven't played the game at all. This exact same thing happened to our group crusher kept destroying our items and we had no clue why until looking it up on this thread here. Nothing this guy is saying is bait, when you put any item in the box the timer starts triggering and if it isnt fully within the square it gets destroyed. Not seeing why people getting so triggered on this thread lol

Try hard kids who think they're impressive, nothing to concern yourself with. As you say, it happens and it's not clear at first why, and when it does become clear, it doesn't make it feel any more justified. You're tasked with taking X loot to Y place, then Y place actively attempts to destroy any of the larger items. Baffling design decision that takes away from the entire core loop of the game. I truly hope they recognise how much this doesn't aid the game in any way.

I agree I think the game would be better if they got rid of that and just let any item in the square count.

My friend and I couldn't complete the level bc the only monsters who showed up were freaking gnomes and they broke half of our items too. I'm not against "if you run out of items and you can't kill monsters just restart", but I wish the game told that to us bc we didn't die for a long time hoping that something would happen. Maybe a warning that tells you after like 15 min that you're stuck here with no items left idk

There is an item in shop that can track the locations of valuables. While it isn't built-in like lethal, its still good enough if you want to make sure you aren't wasting time.

And explain to me how does this not equal skill issue? You say "if you run out of items and you can't kill monsters just restart", yeah thats skill issue cause you dont even need items to kill monsters. Of course on the rare occasion you get the Slender man and the ceiling eye you really cant do much at this point, but those would cause the least amount of damage to the items. Monsters can be killed with tumble, if they are down on the ground after a hit they can be dragged and hit into objects or walls for damage, you can also use one of your friends as an object to hit monsters, he just needs to compact with pressing Q and you can pick him up. While the game does not have an option to tell you when you have zero options out, 99.9% of cases are just pure skill issue where its on you that you cant come up with ideas to fill the quota, even more in multiplayer where pitfalls start to appear on level 2 not 3 or 4 like it is in solo.

This happened to us cause there were items that didn't count even though it was in the delivery area and it still took it, so we had nothing left after.
If this is happening, the items are probably breaking. If they're large items and they stick out of the pickup zone, they'll break when the metal cage comes down
