NOT SAVING

IS THIS SUPPOSE TO SAVE YOUR PROGRESS AT ALL? OR IS THIS JUST ALWAYS GONNA START BACK TO LEVEL 1?

you cant go to main menu without doing at least one extraction first otherwise it doesnt save

So long as you don't die and you are host you should be able to exit and save. It works every time for me when I host a game and load back the next day to resume.

So I plays with some friends today and we got to level 4 and passed but we all had to get off so we got off but nothing we did saved the option to save never showed up so we just said F it we’ll just restart every time but kinda sucks losing everything we’ve done so how would I be able to save the game next time we play?

did you ever find any kind of solution for this? we got to level 8 today and had stopped and restarted several times and now is only showing level 1.

got to level 5 and it didnt save the game, its really just ruining the game tbh... i dont wanna have to start ALL over again after getting that far at least put me on level 3 or some ♥♥♥♥

Gaving the same issue.. we wana play but don't wana start back from lvl1 each time. 😭 wana save the hosted game progress

figured it ou: you have to quit to main menu on whatever level you want the save. so if you get to level 4, quit the game at the start (host) and then the save will be there. The game will save if you quit to main menu and dont die

does it work if you quit to main menu while in the store or do u have to start the mission?

it should save when you're at the store, in the truck (as in sealed inside the truck after you finish shopping, though i don't know if this sends you straight to the level when you continue), or even in the middle of a level. it deletes the save if everyone dies, though, and it does NOT retain progress since the start of your current location, since it only seems to save right after the transitions happen.

in other words, if you're in the middle of level 5 and your cart's full of $50k worth of items, with 2 of 3 extractions done, the game does not care--it will generate a new level 5 from scratch, with everything the way it would have been if you hadn't started the level (including the charge on items).

yeah im having the same problem, i start it and activate the first extraction point then quit to main menu, but the save just deletes itself immediately. Do you actually have to do one extraction for it to save? my saves never actually save

it saves at the start of the level, so if you're trying to save the progress within the level (how much is in your cart, how many extraction points are done, etc.) then it won't work.

basically, every time you see the transition/loading screen, your game saves. if everyone dies, the save is deleted (even if you haven't even been sent to the arena yet).

this is bad starting from zero immpossible to go to higher level maybe use cheats

Can mods through thunderstore cause this not saving issue? My friends and I had our progress reset twice and we quit the game properly every time. Yet we lost all level progress and upgrades…

i'm sure there's some mods out there that can cause issues like that, yeah. it could also just be a bug on the host's end. keep in mind that ONLY the host has the save, and if the host's dead they should leave before the living players leave (otherwise the game can register "oh hey, everyone in the game is dead--time to delete the save file!)

other than that though idk, i guess you could find out where the game stores save data and check there, maybe copy+paste it somewhere once in a while in case you lose the save and want it back (whether it gets randomly deleted or gets deleted because everyone died)
