Steps to get a join game link for a Steam game,

Enter a game and start to host
Open your Steam profile
Right click the Join Game button (on the right in green)
Select Copy link
Paste this link wherever you wish to have players join you

Steps to join a game from a join game link

Paste the link into an internet browser
Steam will automatically invite you to the game

*****If the lobby is no longer available the Join link will not work*****

An alternative to this is to make your steam profile public so anyone can join from it.
With a Pubic Profile anyone can click your steam profile picture and a join game button will display on the right in green whenever you host a game.

This is a lame method when the devs could simply use the steam server browser as the API supports using valve's datacenter to route connections and such.

One way I could play online in "friend" locked multiplayer mechanics is basically going into the group hub and creating a room. The problem is there is no limits so people might end up joining mid game and going into trolling voice chat.

Hopefuly they will add a multiplayer lobby system soon but until then this is the best option we have, Luckily this game is limited to 6 players before starting a game (Unmodded) and once started the lobby is locked so no one can join after

I mean ppl in the community group chat for this game can go into active voice channels. They can't join the game but the channel's voice chat will function separate to the ingame one.
