SOUND IN MONO (NEEDS FIX)
Sound in GTA V appears to be in mono, there is no stereo information XD What a shamefull product, don't know if anybody even tested it before releasing... You can't fix it through games settings, some people say that you should enbale "spacial sound" on your windows but it's bs - it doesn't fix issue because there is literally no stereo. Anybody have thoughts?

Are you using headphones or speakers ?
In particular, sounds like radio music, phone dialogs and ambient music are mixed down to the center channel only, making it essentially mono.

Other sounds like cars and NPCs in the open world are still surround sound, but they are mixed way too silently, getting overshadowed by the loud center channel music.

Without any options to separately set the volumes of different sources, this makes the game sound really bad.
They don´t care. As long as people pay for the stupid GTA+ stuff and sharkcards Rockstar is not willing to fix their game.

in documents-rockstar games- gta5 enhanced folder there is settings.xml file and inside of it you can enable 'AUDIO 3D'idk if it does something tho
^ changing the 'Audio3d value' to True does not change the sound output quality. Radio and various effects still sound like garbage compared to legacy.

In the "Spatial Sound" menu, turn on the Dolby atmos, if you do not have it, then go to the stereo 2.1 in the sound configuration.

Thanks for your advice. This works well for missing sound (or more specifically, the incorrect downmix from center channel in 7.1 system to stereo output).

However, the missing "sound effect" like reverberation, along with mono output for all music, is a result of broken game engine of enhanced version. No fix yet.

I have tested Dolby Atmos for Headphones or physical 7.1 output, it appears that the music is mixed into front-left (FL) and front-right (FR) channel without separation, which cause the mono sound.

Already submitted a ticket. Their response was disappointing as they kept asking me to check the "Microsoft settings". Since only a few players care about audio, patching this could be harder than bringing back old Chat.

And most likely never, because most people don't care that much about audio quality. A shame.
