They got work GPUs too. Out there are some really crazy ones, but there are no drivers for gaming for them, lol. But I figured this out ages ago had intel with a crap ton of cores for that time; it ran Photoshop and stuff like a champ, BUT games, yeah, it was a crap shoot because they normally only use a handful of cores at max. So it works if you have all those cores, but the total capacity is divided by, in this case, 16, so each core is weaker than, say, an 8 core with the same overall capacity.
And again games don't want to eat all your cores by default because it it tried to use 10 cores on your pc, then 10 on my 8 core, it would just ♥♥♥♥ up everything on my pc lol
Just a heads up, the best gaming cpu's are AMD Ryzen processors with extra cache on them, called X3D, see as a way for the processor to fully stretch its legs, nothing holding it back.
The 9800X3D is the latest and greatest, the 7800X3D is almost as good, barely a difference, and below that sits the 5800X3D.
Currently that 5800X3D is the only gaming upgrade path you have, your motherboard does not have the "socket" (the place/shape you put the cpu into) for the 9800 or 7800X3D (those share the same socket and future cpu's for a few generations will as well).
So if you do want to get a 9800X3D, that means also a new motherboard and probably new ram memory.
I got the 4090 with 9800X3D and it works fantastic, all maxed 120 to 150 fps with maximum RT.
