loading times are atrocious

with how long it takes to load some things you could be sitting in the goal circle and nothing with happen and you can do anything but shoot and throw bombs. fix this because i lost an exotic export while sitting in the circle and another player attacked me

I think this is a hardrive issue I haven't seen ANY load times at all with my M203 SSDs, that are like 3 gens old now no less. MINUS the first one where it takes it ages to find me a lobby, after that it smooth as ♥♥♥♥ sailing all day long... I think issue is its 2025 and you guys are still using hard drives meant for gaming in 2010...

Like every new game on Steam, I see this "why load times are so bad! Me got good GPU!" It's like how good is your hard drive, "that thing I have had since 2008? Wait you got replace those? You telling me 80mb read and write is bad?" While my OLD GEN SSDs get 3000mb read and right... Uh yeah that crap is horrible for modern day gaming. Especially for a game meant to be run on console where SSDs are MANDATORY now lol

Sounds like an internet connection issue. Sitting there already in a lobby and someone kills you? Has to be lag on your end. Even on the PC I retired 2 years ago from 2015, I had an SSD. Very unlikely to be a hardware issue at this point. There's a 0.000001% chance anyone is using a hard drive that isn't an SSD.

hardware is not the issue when at other times loading is fine.

This most likely due to the Session Host having crap internet. Previously, on the Legacy version cheaters were mostly Session Hosts with better Internet :)

You can do everything in IO sessions, the only thing different is there are no Freemode Events in a Solo Session

Load times seem the same as they do on legacy. Using direct drive helps a little bit, but for me, not much.

I havent given the updated dll a try though and others have claimed it helps load times.

I only play single player though.

Haha right now as I'm typing this, I'm stuck on the loading screen just trying to enter my nightclub.
Never have any issues in small sessions with like 5-10 people but once there's over 10 in a session it seems like loading screens take ages...

Yup single player and invite only sessions for online load in seconds, issue is with populated online sessions.

I was in a Pub session the other day that was laggy af and i couldn't enter Hao's garage, sat there pressing E key for a while, gave up and drove away then all of sudden i start loading into the garage :)

i have a ssd for my games my internet does have issues and i cant get any other carrier for internet at my place
