There are so few Split Screen Games anymore that they Fake it with Single Player Games in Shows

I was watching Grimm and they played GTA V with two players holding controllers pretending it was a two player game, acting for the show.

I know GTA has never had split screen multiplayer, but there are so few modern games with Local Co-Op or Local VS that they have to fake it with single player games, apart from Indie games almost no one does Local Multiplayer anymore
