Free upgrading???
OK so I got an email from Rockstar today which said in part the follow
Upgrade to GTAV Enhanced on PC

The GTAV Enhanced upgrade is free for all players who already own GTAV on PC and comes loaded with optimizations to improve the game experience and performance on modern PCs.
So for those of us that have owned the game for ages is this an automatic upgrade meaning steam will download the enhanced version or what do we need to do to upgrade as the email doesn't say much on how this is done.

it's an entirely separate game, you have to download it again. you can transfer online progress to enhanced and you can probably do it with story mode progress too (but i don't play story mode so i can't say for sure)

so where do GTA V owners need to claim GTA V Enhanced then as the steam store shows enhanced at $29.99 rather then free.
Restart steam. It should simply be in the steam library as a new game to install.

There are also these links for migrating online, and storymode saves -
(or just copy the storymode saves over if you don't care about achievementS)

You can also choose not to install battleye if that is your thing. Then disable it in the R* launcher / settings, or use - nobattleye in the steam game launch options, or a commandline.txt in the game folder.
