I am not being a bad sport
I am playing GTA5 on a new computer with AMD software that I have not fully understood how to set up properly to get this game or the driver from timing out. In the middle of missions my game crashes and I get an AMD message saying " driver timeout " and I went into AMD advisor and it said lower render settings. I don't understand it. I wish there was an auto calibrate or something to set it to the proper settings. I'm not quitting ever on missions. I want to make GTA money to get to do new missions and buy more properties. Don't call me a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ poor sport ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hmm crashing and settings have nothing to do with eachother, there is an instability, I take it you havent overclocked the card?

what gpu model?

could be MPO (Multipane Overlay) conflict with AMD card
I had to downgrade everything. Useless ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ super resolution ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Doesn't even make your game work if you have super resolution on and everything max graphics and ♥♥♥♥.

If your game crashed check for errors in Windows Event logs

Just download the AMD driver dont download the catalyst then just use the ingame settings

AMD catalyst and in game settings dont play nice together in my expierience
I fixed the problem by changing my in game settings and lowering everything in that to high when before it was all set on very high. Very high for AMD for some reason messes GTA5 up. But it's fine now.

When you buy a computer take GAME REQ WITH YOU.. TELL "computer store;: the following..I want to play [name of game] and I want a computer that have higher req than the game I want to play......

That best I can tell you
Could be what I mentioned in the other thread. The game has issues saving game config settings. It's possible that when he logged in, he didn't realize that all his video settings were defaulted to 'ultra' and started to stress his GPU until it caused a crash.

My potato is running on a 1650 (4gb), so when I go to video settings I can see the displayed meter there showing how much memory is being used by the GPU. I noticed it was pushing more than the card could handle and had to figure out how to fix it, so if that's what is happening here, he'd have to do the same.

English....

Your video mem is SEPERATE from your pc memory (just finding this out NOW) AND in simple english...

You are trying to buy something for 1 dollar and 5 cent..but only have one dollar 4 cent...SO YOU CANT BUY

[Desktop mem that sep from video mem].. a program check to see memory avail.. then either place temp files instead of using memory when running programs..but if enuf mem then the program will use pc mem as temp storage..and if ,'way' more than enuf..the program will run AT THE SPEED OF SOUND [a game will run but will end before it start)
VRAM and RAM are separate. The meter in the 'graphics' configuration is showing VRAM memory usage, not your standard RAM. Depending on how much VRAM he had available, i'm saying the graphics config bug could have overtaxed his video card, resulting in a crash. Just a guess.
