Any mods or something that makes it possible to fly these things ?! I hoped a enhanced version would make'em easier to fly but....damm i was wrong.

Cannot for the love of god understand why they made these flight sims in a arcade game.

what? helicopter flights in this game are implemented in the most arcade way. compared to helicopters from battlefield, gta5 helicopters are just paper airplanes

My problem with the flight model is its too arcadey. Jets and planes should fall out of the sky when people slow down too much or lose lift in some manouver...rip their wings off, blackout, etc.

a controller
You'll learn and get used to it.
If you don't like the keyboard controls, try using a controller.
I quit using mouse/keyboard for helicopters and started using WASD+Num pad (4568)

I think it's a default secondary binding (check num lock tho). A lot easier to get steady pitch and climb with a heli, or barrel roll a Titan without running out of mouse pad.

Yeah, while you can steer helis and planes with mouse and keyboard, you really shouldn't, it is awful.
For flying, just as Magikarp said, use wasd + NUM4568, works perfectly, maybe just do some flight school to get the hang of it.
The trick for helis is, the movement comes from the "tilting" done with the numblock, if you press "w" for upwards, and tilt the heli to the front with NUM8, it will propell you forward.

Or indeed, get a joypad and just use that.

I also remove unnecessary keys from Numpad, just keep 4568, I lack keyboard skills :)

What are you talking about? The flight mechanics in GTA have always been Arcady, not quite as bad as something like COD, but still easily an Arcade game. If they actually made it easier in the enhanced version, then my interest just dropped in picking this back up...

@Tiearian - ex. the choppers in GR:Wildlands = thats arcade - a 2 yearold could fly those...why not make'em that easy ?

Thanks for the replys /all - i just dont remember it as being that difficult in the "original version". I'll try using a controller.

i have been flying plane & heli with aswd & 4586 keypad since the begining, the downside is its hard to look around with mouse, this thread reminds of this problem i tried to forget.
so i did some research and found this video, look down at the comments too for more tips, i have found some useful one, definitely gonna try tonight

Wait, what? This is the easiest game I've ever played to fly a helicopter in lol again it's a CONSOLE port so get a controller, you can get 25 bucks on Amazon, a cheap wired one on sale most of the time, and poof it's literally built to be played with it so you do way better at driving too lol. Like you can tell who is the mouse and keyboard, who is the controller, and who does both in this game. Mouse and keyboard tend to shoot better, as the option for aim assist is buried in the game controls now, but they drive and fly worse than controller players.

No need for controller, you just have to use numpad. Flying in this game is the easiest of them all.
