how are the servers still so ♥♥♥♥ after all these years, i cant even help to do any heist every other mission or so. ill just sit there loading endless on "launching session".

There are no servers.

*ockstar is too cheap to pay for dedicated servers. GTA uses Peer to Peer connections where whoever has been in a session the longest is the "server". If they are behind a crummy router or firewall or double NAT or whatever else, people have trouble connecting sometimes.

The problems joining sessions was a design choice made by *ockstar to save themselves money. They don't pay for (most) server costs like other games, so they can keep GTA V around forever, milking that sweet sweet shark card / GTA Plus money.
