Legacy vs Enhanced versions??
I currently have the Legacy installed but just saw this Enhanced version on my steam account. My question is, whats the difference between the two? Is enhanced better? more options? Someone let me know please...

I also wanted to know about it, from what I saw there was no Enhanced version for PC but it is available for download, I wanted to know the differences
Console had some features PC did not, now PC has those features. Yay for us PC users to whom rockstar gave the finger.... the one that wags as if to say, No HSW for you! Thank you R*.
Enhanced has upscaling options as well as ray tracing features, it greatly enhances lighting in the game, especially natural lighting during the day. Also adds ray traced reflections too and shadows but they are not as noticable IMO.

You can easily transfer your GTAO character to enhanced edition, as well as your saved games, the latter requires a little bit more effort though. Use the enhanced edition if your system can handle the performance hit and if you will even notice or care about the graphical changes.

BTW: The enhanced edition for PC looks far better than the "enhanced" console version 2 years ago, the console version literally added next to nothing. This is not just a port of that console version. The new PC enhanced edition genuinely does look pretty good, some great new visual features IF your PC can handle it.

This DF vid nicely highlights the changes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6gMvs52-Hs&ab_channel=DigitalFoundry

I'd say Enhanced because legacy took 110GB while enhanced took 94GB. That's all.

if you want to keep the transgender you need to play legacy and if you want animals you need to play enhanced
yes in Enhanced you may find it extremely difficult to load into your Avengers hold in any public sessions. it's like a 50/50 chance u will either suddenly be parachuting to the ground or will actually load in after doing the "Hold E to enter the Avenger's back hold". That's all.

It's a bit longer load times. But I think it's worth it in the long run because of the anti-cheat they have. I have a gtx 970 and 7800x3d and the game runs better on enhanced, than it does on legacy. Feels good to play when cheaters aren't in every lobby.

If you got a raytracing capable GPU and modern hardware, the Enhanced version definitely is better in all ways.

With one exception:
Audio mixing is complete ♥♥♥♥.
Many sounds like radio music seem to be downmixed to mono, echo and reverb are gone (e.g. mechanic in LSC garage speaking, sounds in tunnels) and spatial separation is complete crap (e.g. police sirens seem to always be right next to you).
Also, they removed the audio option to set different channel layouts for surround systems.
