Who charged you for an upgrade? Temper your expectations on free gifts.
All of the expansions for GTA 5 went into Online, which was the correct choice. There's much more story in Online now than Story Mode from everything that's been added.
Trying to decide if the OP is AI slop post, or just NOT someone who knows anything about GTA 5 you can easily glean from 5 minutes of research. I mean all the news story are literally about a free upgrade to Enhanced.

So, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that the price for the "enhanced" edition is because it has the "legacy" GTA V game in the bundle. Something I didn't notice at first. So, yeah, there's a charge. I own GTA V through the Rockstar service.
Also, the page itself, on Steam, says "now upgraded for a new generation with stunning visuals, faster loading, 3D audio, and more, plus exclusive content for GTA Online players". Now, reading the ACTUAL store page would tell you the base game got UPGRADED, yeah? So, saying that now, has the single player game gotten enhanced? Lastly, just an fyi, I'm on the road all week. I JUST got home when I saw this. I don't game while on the road and didn't see anything because I'm not big on looking up the internet when out driving. So, yeah, excuse me for the being the last guy on the planet that has seen this.
One last thing. per my post. I don't do GTA Online. Never had an interest and yeah, I know they did a bunch of stories for the Online portion but that doesn't interest me really.
I'll look into this. Thanks for sharing.
