cannot save my progress on story mode?

i cannot save my story mode progress,they ak me to upload save game,and they say "you must accept the latest rockstar games online policies to upload a saved games.i just bought thisgame..plz help me

Likely need to try to go into online to pop that prompt? Or manually open the R* launcher? Hopefully not also a situation where once again controlled folder access is blocking the game and the .exe needs to be added to the allowed list.

edit - a steam deck user also reported that even attempting to go online triggered the policy acceptance page before battleye booted them back out.
