I mean i DO use a wheel but
the damned control scheme is coded to work with a thumbstick
So it has inherent steering damping and delay, it is not real time proportional

Is a pain in the ass to make a wheel config that has acceptable response

You will have to translate the wheel to xinput, but you can use it, i do.

USB Logitech G27 Wheel (This is for Driving, But Transitions from Wheel for Hands
Can be Mapped to Wheel Shifter Controls if Needed.

Have a Logitech F310, yea it identifies as xbox, unless in dinput mode, and in dinput mode it does more things

Have an EasySMX 9111, identfies as xbox in xpinput mode

logitech DF GT wheel, it does not identify as xbox, it is a force feedback wheel which xinput is incapable of doing, it is dinput like your G27

Have a Saitek X56 Rhino, it is dinput, xinput cant even accommodate a HOTAS

GTA V only understands Xinput thumbsticks
Rockstar has been asked for Years, Can we have damned wheel support already.

Yes, i can make your G27 work, it takes some fiddling to get right and you will need x360ce
It isnt perfect but it is funner than a damned gamepad, especially driving in 1st person

I use the wheel for car and keyboard/mouse for on foot
And i use the mouse to aim and shoot while driving 1 handed.
