Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced

Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced

My honest impression after playing for 40 hours
The migration process was easy enough , but I almost deleted my second character. So, people with more than one character, beware and be careful.
Once I got online, the difference was clear as day. While my performance was good, I did have minor stutters here and there-something I'm already used to from the legacy version. The game looks fantastic, and you can only imagine the supercomputer you're going to need to run GTA 6 whenever they release it on PC.
I was skeptical about having animals in the game, but they bring some areas of the map alive. My farmhouse bunker had cows around that I occasionally ran over by mistake. Birds in the sky would get killed every now and then from the blades of my helicopter, and random rabbits or deer would jump out into the road. It's a really nice feature to have, and in a way, it's another obstacle to avoid when selling vehicles.
Oh, and let me not forget the "oh ♥♥♥♥" moment when you encounter a mountain lion, quickly scrambling to get your weapon to kill it before it kills you.

The Oscar Gusman flies again.

I quickly wanted to rush through them, aiming to get the discount on the Iron Mule and the new AC130 plane. I thought the missions were not bad; it would have made things a lot easier if I had upgraded some of my vehicles to HSW. The hangar space is welcome , and having another set of missions to make money from is appreciated .
A word of advice: get a Hakuchou Drag and upgrade that puppy to HSW. That thing is great!

The Iron Mule is a great new addition with a couple of flaws. The helicopter had me extremely excited-finally , a real helicopter that can do the job! The main thing I wanted it for was the vehicle warehouse, and while it's great and all, it does run into a couple of problems . When taking it on missions, sometimes you won't have space for it to land, or it takes up too much space, so if you're in a public lobby, you are very noticeable .

While the Cargo Bob can fit pretty much anywhere in most locations, the Iron Mule will require you to find spots for it to safely land. I could see people having problems in most vehicle warehouse locations . At my Murrieta Heights Vehicle Warehouse, I had to land it on the side of the road by the grass, which came with a few problems. If you land it incorrectly, you could accidentally destroy it, which happened to me when I was selling a vehicle; I came out and the thing was gone. In another instance, I landed on a muddy road near the cash factory location in the Grand Senora Desert. I killed the NPC and went back in, only for my Mule to not start. I figured if I bumped it with my Atomizer, it might work again, and it did.
Hooking a car with Lamborghini doors type is nearly impossible to connect with. This was a real issue that can be easily avoided by basically only selling certain types of cars. While you can hook them, it takes too much time and effort to get them; I resorted to only selling certain vehicles. If you are starting from zero, this could be problematic until you figure out which cars are easy.
Even with these flaws, the helicopter is a great addition and is my go-to helicopter for vehicle warehouse and bunker/ ammunition missions .

The Titan 250 plane left me with much to be desired. While I thought I could use it to do certain missions in a new and fun way, I quickly found out that this thing really requires you to have more than one person in it for it to be fun.

Hao's Special Works

I completely ignore this, and it should have been the first thing on my to-do list. Drive near the casino and start the trail; it will take you 6-7 minutes to complete. After that, you will have access to HSW upgrades in the car meet.
Now some vehicles are far better than others, and here is a list of the ones that were noticeably good.

Bravado Banshee GTS
Principe Deveste Eight
Benefactor Stirling GT
Maibatsu MonstroCiti
Penaud La Coureuse
♥♥♥♥♥♥ Hakuchou Drag

Shih Tzu Hakuchou Drag is the only thing you should take when it comes to the weekly time trial; this makes it an easy 250K . If you are wondering why you should update to the enhanced version, HSW vehicles are your answer. These things are really nice and make driving fun again. I really like taking my Hakuchou out; this thing is fast!

GTA+

People won't like my opinion, but I like GTA+. The main reason is the new 100-car garage that made it possible for me to finally acquire new vehicles. Not only that, the new pay-to-win options that were added, like being able to move vehicles from your interaction menu, are amazing. As of this month, Cargo sales are X2 for GTA+ subscribers, and you get a couple of new cars for free. However, a few people still got charged; lucky for me, I didn't have this issue. I understand the hate for the service since you would want this option for every loyal player; unfortunately, this isn't the case at the moment. At least for me, $8 seems to be fair for what the service offers, and not only that, you get to try a few games that unlock for you on Steam .

Some other features, like CEO abilities being free, are great and, in a way, open up more options when doing missions. I never bothered using some of these features until now. Being able to collect money from your businesses is a godsend and makes it somewhat unfair for non-paying players. People are correct in hating the service because it adds options that players have been asking for many years, but it's unfortunate that you have to fork out cash to get them. While $8 seems okay at the moment, I'm not sure if I would continue paying for it if the price goes up .

Conclusion

I have to say farewell to legacy GTA; I don't see myself going back to it ever again. While Enhanced is not completely without issues , like performance problems for some people and lacking text chat, I can only hope Rockstar fixes these issues and continues to add features and improvements . I see this as a test trial for the GTA 6 future release when it comes out on PC.

Actually, in some places, the performance is MUCH better than in the Legacy version of the game. Especially the outdoor/nature areas perform a lot better here.

And, the reflections when you activated the raytracing options are really absolutely fantastic, and, it's still one of the best looking games on PC.

So far, I spent 6 hours just driving around, as I can't be arsed to start the story again. Among the top 3 best open worlds ever in a video game, IF not the best.

The game's performance didn't dip when playing with others , unlike Legacy, which is welcome, and I wasted so much time just recoloring cars and driving .:bgt_laughter:

People have some messed up PCs who don't see performance improvements lmao. I am running a 3080, not too bad, and a 3770K LMAO. it's not even in recommended specs, and with DLSS and RT on high or very high along with most normal things maxed, Reflex on as well, at 4K, I am getting a fairly stable 59FPS as Reflex bumps it down one.

I honestly cannot complain. These are massive upgrades to me. My CPU isn't even on the list man. DLSS really helps me actually enjoy the game again. A few drops here and there due to the old ass CPU, but nothing major.

I will never play the legacy version again. This update actually got me back to complete the story mode even.

Seriously, even running on maxed settings at 1080p on a RTX 2070, Enhanced runs smoother than Legacy ever did.

do you actually need to do the trail thing? I did not do that and yet i could still purchase the HSW performance upgrade for my Banshee GTS at the car meet.

Yeah. I was really surprised, as I expected it to be heavier on system ressources, rather than lower. Rockstar Games did a really good job here.

run i on a laptop with a 3060 and intel I7 11th gen

works fine for me smoother than the legacy, with the same settings.
the game even laods faster than i was used to.(it now takes a comple of minutest and not like 10 minutes or more.(for people say internet conection this is exact the same connection i used on the other gtaV)
Yeah, it loads the game world much faster. Pretty much half of the time the Legacy version did.

A couple of minutes though? Do you have a HDD? It really only takes about 15 to 20 seconds here. That's on a SATA SSD.

Maybe you don't need to. I'm not sure; I just did it because I thought I needed to, hehe.

What i noticed is the blood spray when shooting enemies and blood wounds on corpses they look like less intense, more clear. There is not that blood mist when you shoot enemies npc and also on corps and the blood puddle look like too much clear ! ! It is small details but it catched a bit my attention since i like shooting gangsters and bounty hunting lol ! ! Is it gonna be fixed ?? Other that performance great i can max out 4k 120 fps but ray tracing off cause if on at ultra it dips to 70-80 fps.

nah you only have to do the time trial for free voucher that removes the cost of upgrading to hsw, i havent done it yet and upgraded about 5-6 hsw cars
The HSW, Ray Tracing, and being able to use reshade was worth moving over to Enhanced for me. The rest, I ignored -> especially GTA+.

GTA+:
I'm plainly and simply not paying $8 a month for a game that hasn't even gotten updated textures and NPC physics. Not to mention, that racing has no NPCs to race with you in invite-only, and tennis still forces you to play with other people. So yea, not for me.

I disagree, loading story mode or invite only has same duration than before (around 10s on Nvme).
Netcode is the same, bugs are the same and people still have trash wifi...

Depends on the person. It loads faster for me as well.
