ERR_GFX_STATE game error please reboot and restart the game
The game kept on crashing on me, which I figured out how to stop it. Now, I get the problem in the title. Nothing I can find helps. Do I need to contact RG or does anyone have any tips on something that works that isn't online?

I think I may have found it, try to delete the SGA files in the settings folder of Rockstar Games.

I'm having the same problem. Yesterday, when I deleted those files, it worked, and I was able to play online and campaign again, but now I did it again, and the error still appears.
I'm having the same problem, sometimes if I modify the graphics settings it works. But now nothing, it gives the error right away and never opens. This is real serious and I have just subscribed for GTA+. Something needs to be done!!!!!

I almost bought GTA+, but that’s exactly when it started happening to me. This is so frustrating.

There might be an error log in Windows event viewer
Same here, error event from windows Event Viewer is "Event ID 153 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found"

Can't even get past the intro mission 🤣

try doing a clean install of your GPU driver, download a copy of your current driver, use DDU to remove the installed driver and then install the downloaded driver

DDU

The game started crashing with the same error on my 1660 Super, now it barely makes it to the menu. After switching back to my 1050 and changing every setting to the lowest, it worked without issues. Going back my 1660 Super and keeping the settings didn't help, keeps crashing as before.

There are mass reports with multiple error messages and with different hardware.
the only solution is : when open pc laptop first delete the setting.xml file n delete the sga files in rockstar/setting folder ..then disable the display driver then enable it. refresh n open the gameit will run 100%…..thank me later ❤️

What you mean when say "disable the display driver"
I had to downgrade my graphic settings, which is what got mine working.

Search for device manager>display adapters>right click your graphics card>disable.

Do it every 8-12 hours
