Sound problems
Am I the only one who has sound problems? The sound sounds very far away and muffled like it's coming from a tin can. Windows 11 and all drivers are of course up to date. it's only in gta 5 so all other games work normally and the sound is very good. I've tried a lot of things that I found on the internet but the sound is still bad. Does anyone have any advice? Is this a bug?

Same here. All games and apps works just fine. Launching into the game feels like I'm using cheap headphones
Same here, i did a support ticket and just waiting... I read that it's about some headset and the surronding settings but they delete all AUDIO settings so can't do anything for now except buying a headset and hopping it work

Yeah. I hope for a solution too (5.1 System). :FH5Upgrade:
Then I'll wait for a patch. I don't want to play the story with such bad sound.

My setup uses stereo speakers, and the volume is very low. When I turn it up, other sounds get boosted, making it really bad. Only a few games have this issue. Waiting for a fix from Rockstar.:steamfacepalm:

I have a 2.1 sound system and the sound is very bad. Very far away, muffled and as if it was coming from a tin can. :steamsad: I would like to play the story again but with such sound I have no desire.

I use stereo speakers, and all radio stations play in mono, which is very annoying. I don't have this issue with the legacy version.
Please make the old audio engine an option. That one just works.
I'd love to replay the game with ray tracing, but it is no fun with broken audio.
i hve the same issuee
After today's patch, the sound is still so bad. What's taking so long, Rockstar? I want to play.

i have 5.1 with the centre speaker disabled (sounds better imo) and everything works fine with it, except for GTAV enhanced. GTAVe seems to force my audio setup to use 5.1, which makes it sound extra quiet. the only way around it would be switching my audio set up to 2.0 and who wants to keep doing that?

I have a 2.1 system and it sounds like :slugpoo:
WTF the sound is still not fixed. :lunar2019crylaughingpig: I don't want to wait any longer. The uninstallation works at least well. :slugpoo: Game

I've sent a ticket to R* about the audio situation specifically and they've replied saying they're investigating it but need more time.
It's hilarious when the console versions has zero issues with audio and the PC can't get audio right on a 13 year old game lmao.
