I felt that the original version could be enhanced more with a powerhouse rig, even without mods. Am I wrong?

It’s been a while since I looked at the original, but I remember it not running as well as I’d like. I think the main problem really was that the characters run around too slow and wasn’t a fan of the controls. That’s not important though. I’m wondering about the visuals.

I maxed everything out on the Enhanced version, and it only took like 5.5 GB VRAM I think. I felt like it’d take more than double that for the original, and it didn’t even have ray-tracing. I really thought I remembered it looking better though.

My personal experience is that Enhanced provides the graphics upgrades that I was looking for, with DLAA finally removing the infamous jagged lines that I could never get rid of with mods in Legacy. Since a lot of the best graphics mods for Legacy relied on post-processing effects and texture swapping, it runs way more efficiently having those things natively integrated into the game instead. The only 2 mods I can see myself wanting at this point are a ragdoll physics mod and vehicle handling mod.

I launched the game believing that the graphics improvements were going to be minor, but I found myself more impressed than I had anticipated.
I am unfamiliar with the infamous jagged lines. I actually have the setting set to Quality instead of DLAA to take advantage of the AI features from DLSS. Also I read that it was hard locked to 120 fps. Is that true? I was able to select 144 for my monitor, and I wonder if I can even select higher since my monitor goes up to 170.
Honestly, I barely see any difference between Legacy's original version and Enhanced
I have a very hard time believing that, or else I wonder what hardware/settings you have. For me its like night and day, a huge difference
