For those simply wanting to play single player -

You can also cancel the batlteye install. Install/open the R* launcher manually, log in. Go to settings and uncheck battleye and it shouldn't ask again. You can also use -nobattleye in the launch options, or commandline.txt . And finally, you can run 'gta5_enhanced_be.exe 4' in a command prompt at the game folder to uninstall it (if installed). All this works for legacy too (just adjust the gta5 be.exe).

Just a shame they didn't weren't clearer about it/ your options from the start.
Very annoying.

Basically a hardware solution to combat cheating. Say for instance, if your hands move out of frame of the camera, it boots you out of the game.

Battleye is genuinely one of the least sketchy ACs to have installed on your pc, people have been using it for over 15 years now since arma 2

The real zoomer is OP for thinking using it would 'compromise' anything while he has a positive review for Monster Hunter: Rise which just so happens to use 'The Enigma Protector' DRM that is kernel level.
