LOW FPS WITH LOW GPU USAGE

My specs are 4070, i5-10400F, 16 gb RAM, SSD M.2 1024 gb, QHD 144hz monitor, all drivers are fresh.
DLSS turnes on and every graphics setting is maxed out, except for ray tracing, it's turned off.
In benchmark test for the most part I get 100-120 FPS https://imgur.com/a/TjS1G15 , but when camera gets off the jet to the car in Los Santos, FPS and GPU usage go way down https://imgur.com/a/gHmhhxx
It was like that in Legacy too, but here we are again.

I'm pretty sure your CPU is holding you back.....a lot. Also, where did you see the option to run a benchmark in the Enhanced edition?

Press Tab in graphics settings to run a benchmark

Ehhh, I know this works on the Legacy version but nothing happens when I do this in the Enhanced version. Thanks though.

Try a fresh install with the new Nvidia drivers. They just released.

Yes, enhanced needs you to go into storymode at least through prologue to Franklin's house to get the benchmark option to appear. Unless the update today changed it that is...
Not bothered checking for it while online.

Also noticed, could just be my end, messing with some variations of settings was causing issues and loss of performance until I restarted the game with them. Also possible they fixed that with the recent update too but who knows. Haven't seen a patchnotes for it...yet. -.-

You must have some form of Ray Tracing enabled. R7 5800X3D, GTX 1080 Ti, 32GB RAM, NVME SSD as well. Butter smooth on my end

If you have "extended distance scaling" turned up then turn this down or off as this is a cpu killer and turning it off will reduce stutter and improve performance

It has nothing to do with that and no one has this enabled. The game is broken, end of discussion.

We all have different hardware with different support and drivers. Just because it's working well for you doesn't mean it's working well for everyone.

On RTX 3060 the fps have improved for me, the anti aliasing is great and the grass no longer kills performance. But there is a constant stutter which becomes worse while driving fast and during cop chases. And underwater there is a unique stutter that halves performance.

Try rolling back your drivers. I'm on a 1080 Ti / R7 5800X3D w/32GB RAM. I just updated to the latest drivers but was just running the one just before this one with 0 stuttering while driving through the city fast. I haven't really played enough with the latest driver. I'm stuck trynna get my PS5 controller to work properly with the haptic feedback features.
