I did disabled it before. That's why I don't miss it. If I want to say something, I just talk. For those their either can't speak or don't want to speak, then just send a direct message to the player you're trying to talk to.

Some people can't seem to comprehend a lot of people from other countries have a hard time with pronunciations and find text way easier in English! How about mute people, what the hell are they supposed to do now? Helping randos, crews, or even friends with mission and heists is BS without text because not everyone is on Discord nor wants to! In-game text was part of the game for over a decade, stupid to just get rid of it at this point!

Text chat should be enabled as an accessibility feature for a wide range of people, those with disabilities like hearing impairments, PTSD, Anxiety disorders, along with parents in being able to not wake their children when they've gone to sleep, parents with surround system who have to turn off voice chat to protect their children from vulgar and disgusting comments screamed into a microphone at random passerby's, and lets not forget people that live in noisy environments, or as mentioned people who do NOT speak English as a native language but can very easily write it thanks to most games having a text chat where they can learn.

TEXT CHAT CAN BE ADDED IN THE SAME WAY THAT VOICE CHAT IS - WITH THE ABILITY TO TURN IT OFF IF YOU DON'T WANT IT.

It's not hard to not alienate and discriminate a HUGE amount of players who have paid for this game.

Anyone who cannot see this, is ignoring this or simply being disrespectful to people who use text chat should be removed from the steam community forums...

This is a text-based forum/discussion, people who don't want text chat in GTA should probably not be complaining about text chat in text based "chats" like this one... it defeats the purpose that you're intending to enact with the anti-text smear campaign.

Should the same people only supporting voice chat and discriminating and hating on people who use text chat also be banned from any text-based discussions, platforms, and forums as a whole? For example social media?

You really open a can of worms with this...

Just let people have the option to hide what they want, whether that be hiding voice chat or hiding text chat. It's that simple and easy to let everyone play and enjoy the game.

legacy even added the option to disable text chat, just forcing it to be disabled as a whole really soured the whole enhanced version, and these people who somehow thinks it's good are either trolling or have a screw loose
