I could access that setting in the Pause menu during single-player.
I have mine turned on to partial, currently.

its still there you have to apply it in story mode and auto aimers get put into there own online group

Common Lois, you don't need aim assist, just think of all the target's as Bonnie when she got that last purse you had your eye on for 2 weeks.
