Yeah so any reason they won't? Like, they don't like money or something? I doubt it.
Listen man, GTA 5 OST and radio tracks are on Spotify which means those pieces of media are not in any kind of legal/copyright hell.
Either way, I would like to hear about this licensing problem in music industry specifically, but you clearly don't know ♥♥♥♥, otherwise would have already said something. Your theorization is ok but it just that - theorization. Muh business is a two way street lol ty
For a guy whose supposedly going into business clearly doesn't understand how licensing works
There's multiple types of licensing
There's one thst grants indefinite use
And there's one that have limited use
Not all songs were given the same license
This literally can be proven if you just look it up
Royalty demands especially on a series as lucrative as GTA could be sky high though so we have to take that into consideration. A song that's been played to death for over a decade may not be missed as much as the money used to keep the song on Rockstar's playlist. Personally I think games like this should only choose royalty free music or ones where the artist/label can agree that their music can appear forever on the product.
While most expire there is indefinite ones aswell
I don't think they should go royalty free as the real music adds to the franchise and even iconic to the franchise
yes it's very important, but its better if it was created by artist hired by rockstar or made exclusively for the game instead of being paid for, because the labels can take em out anytime they want without warning after a contract ends, its a very fickle business and the labels hit hard very greedy.
Like I said I disagree on this as it removes an element of what makes gta well gta
I still don't know why are you posting those obvious things here, but thanks I guess
Says the guy who keeps saying "that's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥"
So clearly I have to point out the obvious for you to understand
I just played the game, got a feeling that I don't "recognize" radio stations and posted here to see if anyone felt the same. They've definitely added some new ones so it might be the "watering down" effect, like I didn't play enough to hear the ones I know
Yeah I now remember that some 80s band guy demanded 999999 mil for the usage of his track in the GTA 6 trailer (I think?). Guess it's really boils down to greed when in talks to the owners of a franchise like GTA.
I just don't understand the logic behind music label's side. Having your compositions in a cultural thing like GTA = prolonged exposure to the audience AND you're getting paid for it anyways. Crazy deal and still they're refusing it, tf
LOL what are you trying to pull?
"Dance around the question"
"Nothing of value to say"
Clearly you didn't read my first comment which literally answered your post
And you keep saying "that's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ why should I care" like dude what?
You are indeed a "midwit"
