Text chat?

Text chat seems to be non-existent, usually i cant vc later in the evening cause i'd prefer not to annoy those around me, that being said, i mostly use text chat later at night, the 60 character phone text message with an abnormally long cooldown doesn't really resolve this issue either, and is quite tedious to use over and over.

Hope rockstar fixes this.

Further edited: I got the information i needed, some of you guys really need an actual therapist and not the steam forums to vent. I apologize that this is such a bad vibe for some of you, but for people who are taking it this personal, it's just a game, the world will keep turning. Hope you all have a better day.

As per Rockstar Support, In-Game Text Chat is currently not supported for GTAV Enhanced.

"currently" doesn't mean Permanent which is probably why you can't reassign T and Y

They could easily censor text chat, easier than voice and just have left it in.

I think it's probably an Microsoft/Sony request to keep console/pc parity for multiplayer.

There was also currently no plans for E&E to come out on PC for roughly 3+ years after console. Hopefully we won't have to wait that long for text chat. Also given the amiunt of menu spam I got in my rockstar social club messages I suspect in game text advertisements on how to break GTA: Online are the reason it was removed.

Would have been nice if the missing text chat feature didn't break key rebinding. If I wanted to put anything on T, the non-existent text chat key gets un-bound, and can no longer be rebound since it doesn't exist in the menus - meaning I can't save my keybind changes.

Just GTA things, I guess.
