30 FPS GTA VI in 2026 šŸ’€šŸ„€
Rockstar Games has finally revealed their second trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, and visually, it’s nothing short of jaw dropping. The graphics are simply next level—every frame is packed with life, atmosphere, and insane detail. The graphics are so good, it’s hard to believe it’s real !

But there’s a dark cloud hanging over all this excitement: GTA 6 is targeting 30 FPS on consoles. In 2026, that’s not just disappointing—it’s unacceptable. After years of development, players expected fluid gameplay to match the visuals. Instead, Rockstar risks repeating the same mistake Capcom made with Monster Hunter Wilds, which was also announced with a 30 FPS target. The backlash from fans was immediate, and for good reason.

In an era where high frame rates are becoming the norm, especially on powerful current-gen consoles, locking a flagship title like GTA 6 to 30 FPS feels like a step backwards. Yes, the trailer is amazing. Yes, the game will likely be a massive success. But let’s be clear: incredible graphics mean less if they come at the cost of smooth, responsive gameplay.

(I’ll buy whatever it will cost šŸ˜‚)

Is this some kind of peasant topic? As a member of the master gaming race, I don't understand anything this person has said. FPS only starts at 60 and goes up.

The game will be locked at 30 fps
Well It's not even coming out on console til 2027 now, so 2028 on pc if that. And it wont be locked to any 30fps on PC or they will set the record for least copies sold at 0.

As far as how many fps it gets on a console? Who cares? Haven't they always been 30fps? Who would game on a console what is it, 1998?

Majority of big games like Triple A or big studio games are more bought on console then pc, also consoles can run games at 120 fps

And the game is coming on 26 may 2026

Quite the contrary. By all means, I don't want the game compromised because of console limitation. I want them to push graphics to the max and target 30fps in consoles. None of that will matter when it comes out on PC.

I honestly don't care I'm pretty sure I'm not buying GTA VI. GTA V's singleplayer and RDR2's singleplayer were not very fun in my opinion.
I sold my copy of GTA V on release because of the terrible console performance.
Glad I got back into it on pc/linux, nice graphics, decent ray tracing and a silky smooth 60fps.

lol PS3 version killed my fat 60GB PS3.
"Powerful" and "console" are mutually exclusive man. Yes, current consoles are good, but they are outclassed by a mid-range PC. Optimization can only do so much, expecting a modern game with top tier graphics to run at more than 30 fps on outdated hardware is just absurd. Current gen consoles are 5 years old, that's 30XX series NVIDIA specs. Expecting it to run well and have the good graphics is absurd.
to be quite honest please post a comparison of 30fps to 60fps

The game looks crazy on the trailler tho, and it’s captured on a ps5

Consoles nowadays are really good, they can make you play at 120fps 1080p or 60 fps 4K

A mid range pc can’t do that
