become CEO in invite only first, then find public later, if lucky u will get a suitable one

yah change session, usually one time is enough or start a friends only sesh

invite only lobby session, start ceo, start new public session and you should 85% of the time stay as ceo in the new lobby


or just play solo ;)

Is there a way to join private lobby from the main menu?

I always just play in a solo lobby first get ceo and then do my stuff. When it puts me in a pub im still ceo regardless of #

No. You have to either join Online then go to the Pause menu to select an Invite Only session, or go to Story Mode, Pause - Online - Play GTA Online - Choose Session

Landing Page is different to Legacy Landing Page

Yes, on Legacy you could chose to load Story or Online from Steam.
