wich version would run better on my laptop? Legacy or Enchanced?
I bought GTA 5 recently, and i installed and played the Legacy version, but i got stutters (even on low settings, switching to dx10, and getting dxvk installed).

I heard the new Enchanced version actually fixed performance issues for some people. Is there a way to make the game run better on Legacy, or should i switch to this new Enchanced version?

My Laptop's specs:

OS: Win 11 Home

CPU: Intel Core I5-8300H

iGPU: Intel UHD Graphics 630 (128mb vRAM)

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 (4096mb vRAM)

RAM: 16GB DDR4

Two SSDs: 1.Windows OS (118GB), 2.My stuff (447GB)

You're barely scraping the minimum requirements with this hardware.

I found that the enhanced edition runs slightly worse.
Probably because some of the medium settings are now the lowest, meaning you can tweak them any lower.

The hardware I used:
CPU: i7-6700K
RAM: 16GB DDR4
GPU: GTX 1060 6GB
Storage: Samsung 870 Evo SATA
OS: Windows 10
1080p, medium to high settings

If you have the disk space and patience, just download and test for yourself.

my pc spec is not great either, but enhanced runs smoother than lagacy, so i suggest u to try both

Enhanced is better optimized and will run better on same hardware (if you disable RT).

Enchanced has improved graphics but you don't have to use them.

Laptop works fine. I get 60 fps on high settings.
Enhanced actually has better performance. Quite smooth even with Ray tracing, but I don't really see that much difference in visuals, IMO.

Legacy for sure .
GTA V Enhanced will gonna swallow additional 1 Gb of your VRAM , and suck much more of your CPU .
Im not sure if you can even run it with that laptop Legacy version , but you can try .

if you can push an upgrade you shouldn't have problems cause my specs are high as hell and it was barely playing gta until i updated my drives and pulled out a couple of servers in my house.
