freezing issues, any advice for me?
i dont understand how some days this game will run perfectly fine and other days its not. it does a freeze for a second and then its fine for a min, repeats that scenario or just freezes non stop. why???????:steamfacepalm: i have a decent setup or at least i thought i do, i know my vram is alittle low. 3070 8gb vram, ryzen 5 5600x, 16gb ram. is there something i am missing or should do in the settings? even in the first menu when selecting story or online it does a freeze. i hardly have enough time to play and this is what happens, gosh this sucks.

I have found myself stuck in loading screens and suddenly having crap performance, usually fixed by a restart
i made sure my updates are done in windows and invidia, did the thing where you go integrity of files through steam, and the restarts, and actually freezed even worse after the restart like every second non stop lol
i would switch over to legacy but i want all the extras enhanced has. its not the same game darnit

if you mean ssd as in like memory i never change that. all my games go to the same place. i will try that again but i have done so already if the lag makes it unplayable, right now its a 1 sec freeze every min

if u already verify the game then i have no idea what the solution is, good luck...
your game seems like it stutter, check cpu see if the temp is ok?

i get that occasional freezing on the SteamDeck with Enhanced as well. Never saw that on the Legacy version.

make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. updated drivers is a luxury the SteamDeck doesn't have on Windows with it being a custom APU so i can't check if that would solve the issue there.
i belive so my cpu temps are okay, so what i did just now i went into invidia and turned down the settings to halfway, going to test it. never would of thought my puter would eveer come to this. thought i had a decent thing going on here
seems as though my settings were too high, invidia is now turned down halfway and it help alot. i didnt realize my hardware couldnt handle this. find it weird how i would be okay perfectly fine playing and the next day i would lag. hopefully this is why and the solution i needed

If i run my DVB Viewer and the S2 USB Tv Modul with a HD Programm with Desktop at 100Hz than there is no freezing while watching Tv and the DVB Viewer does run with 25fps/Hz..so why there is a problem with Desktop at 60Hz while watching with a Tv Software which run with 25Hz ? I do not know but good to have a screen with native 100 Hz. With Starfield early out..Freezing problem fix = Desktop resolution = Ingame resolution..like to have a more high resolution ingame than the desktop is ?..switch the desktop first to this resolution.

I actually use my 40" hi sense tv. I don't have a monitor. Never had an issue with any other game even rdr2. Maybe rdr2 ran out of vram but that was no biggey..I swear I been on full settings once upon a time and it ran great, some slight frame tear no lag at all. I didn't mess with the hz settings ever with my pc. I never had to
