Side note, I collect the secondary targets BEFORE entering the compound (Start with the Longfin, loot the docks/airport, then enter through the drainpipes, steal the main obj, leave through the gate)
If you want to collect gold bars with a friend, well, only thing I can recommend from personal experience is just to kill ALL guards then. Been completing cayo with randoms (no chat, nothing) and after we wiped the whole compound, we just ran around collecting gold bars, and no extra guards arrived = no bodies were found.
I honestly have no idea how/why extra guards may trigger, since I don't know ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about such cayo details, but the methods above work perfectly.
As I've said, when I was playing with randoms, and we killed all the guards, the extras did not spawn.
So we freely left the compound with all the gold + main loot and no alarm. I've joined roughly 5-6 cayo finales with randoms a few days ago, and all the times it was like that. One thing I wanna note, we didn't enter the main office. Perhaps it triggers the extra guards, no idea.
The heist is easy af, even with all the nerfs. Worst thing they did to it is nerf the price of loot, otherwise still a breeze and a good source for some quick money
just R* ways to troll the grinders
it is really wierd played it with some people and sometimes the guy spawns and sometimes not, while doing sometimes real murderfestival and he is not spawning at all and in the next approach you just kill the 3 dudes at the office while making sure that one dude is out of vision of jugger and you still get the alert...
maybe R* has added hidden timer for this nonsense like the stuff with the tequila main loot if you do it too often, too make sure you won't get the elite bonus, while every penny counts for them
i dont really bother anymore just fill the bags before collecting maintarget and get out asap if it happens
if u shoot a camera and then take down a guard that is in range, when you grab the main target there will be a new shift of guards, this will trigger the camera to activate again and detect the guard
You exited the compound before the shift of guards, that's why. After you exited the alarm was activated.
A common solo tactic was to exit the compound, kill the guards and take the bike from the security entrance gate, ride to the main dock and grab the loot.
After R* made changes, a guard in a patrolling jeep would find the dead bodies and raise the alarm. Players wondered why the alarm had gone off when they didn't kill anyone at the main dock
You can also leave that guy alive too, so quite literally 0 kills needed.
After taking the primary, go straight to the exit.
If everyone is quick, the alarm wont have time to trigger. If people are slow, itll trigger, but it doesnt really matter, because ur exiting anyway.
I do 2 restarts max. If the noobs cant figure it out, someone else can teach them.
Would be one hell of a coincidence that I've stumbled upon ~5-6 random low levels that are supposedly cheaters when running cayo duos with randoms lol. Especially on enhanced, I haven't seen a single cheater in public lobbies for a whole month.
As I've said, no idea how backup guards even work in cayo heist, but it all was exactly how I've described. Main loot was taken after killing the guards, so idk. Randoms were pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ so it took quite a few restarts, so main loot was always the last thing to go for
As soon as the cutscene ended where we enter the compound, and control is returned to the player, a detonation goes off in the background and the alarms are raised. Nobody in the compound had been killed, and we stealthed through from phase 1, so this seemed like deliberate rigging and we had to scrub the run.
